Guarantees

Our treated products all carry a 5-year anti-rot guarantee. This means if they are damaged by rot or insect attack in the next 5 years, we will replace the timber free of charge.

To qualify for the guarantee the timber must be treated within the first year and again annually.

Consequential expenses incurred as a result of the replacing of the timber are excluded. Labour for example.

Posts Savers carry a 25-year manufacturer anti-rot guarantee to any posts they are installed on. If the posts fail due to rot in that time, please come back to us and we can claim for a new post though the post saver company. (The only cost covered by this guarantee is the cost of replacement of the defective timber. Consequential expenses incurred as a result of the replacing of the timber are excluded. Labour for example.)

Our Steel and Composite products carry a 25-year anti-rot guarantee. If they fail due to rot or insect infestation in this time, we will replace free of charge. (The only cost covered by this guarantee is the cost of replacement of the defective timber. Consequential expenses incurred as a result of the replacing of the timber are excluded. Labour for example.)

Please note things that are not covered by the anti-rot guarantee.

  • Materials damaged by any cause other than rot or insect attack is not guaranteed.

  • Timber that has not been treated with a preservative treated within the first year and again annually.

  • Timber that has been painted with anything other than a preservative.

  • The only cost covered by this guarantee is the cost of replacement of the defective timber. Consequential expenses incurred as a result of the replacing of the timber are excluded. Labour for example.

  • Extreme weather or anything else that has caused the timber to be in abnormal conditions is excluded. (An example of this is if your garden was to flood and the timber was then sat in water for a period of time, this is not a normal condition.)

Gates.

Gates made of Timber, Composite, or UPVC plastic have movement in different weather conditions. This means when we leave your gate works perfectly, but if it rains or becomes very hot or cold there can be movement. We will come out once for free to adjust this. The change in temperature is the most usually cause and once is usually enough. If you want your gates adjusted more than once, we charge a flat fee of £50.00. Just give us a call to book this in.

Installation.

Our workmanship carries a 1-year guarantee. Just call us and we will arrange to come and assess what the problem is and get it resolved. We would always say give us a call even if it is after a year. whilst not under guarantee, we will always give a preferential price to an existing customer.

Disclaimer:

We hope you love your new fence. Timber is a natural material, swelling, shrinking, twisting and colour variations, resulting from the inherent physical properties and peculiarities of wood as a natural material are completely normal. Branches and/or knots; knot holes which have occurred due to variations in weather and temperature, small drying splits or cracks; and/or any resin pockets that are within the timber are all something that can happen, particularly in very warm weather. If this happens and you feel it has affected the structure or overall look of the fence. Please just drop us an email or give us a call and we will pop out and have a look and see what can be done. Our after service is as efficient as our overall service, and we love happy customers.
